Job summary

EY Malaysia is seeking a skilled ESG Assurance professional to support engagement teams across ESG reporting and assurance engagements for clients in the Transformative Age.

You will contribute to evaluating ESG practices, preparing reports, and guiding clients on best practices for ESG reporting and assurance readiness, with opportunities for learning and career growth in a flexible work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a finance related field (e.g., accounting, economics, statistics) or engineering/sustainability background.
• Qualified chartered accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial assurance or climate-change advisory.
• Solid understanding of assurance standards and ESG frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and verify ESG practices of organizations, including audits and reviews for compliance with ESG standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand ESG goals and advise on reporting and assurance readiness.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings, recommendations and improvements for clients.
• Develop action plans to address gaps in ESG performance and reporting.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather data for assessments.
• Manage multiple projects ensuring timely delivery and quality.
