Job summary

Capital Dynamics Sdn Bhd is seeking top-class individuals to join its research team in Kuala Lumpur. The Equity Analysts will conduct in-depth company analyses, model valuations, and monitor market and economic developments to identify investment opportunities.

The role requires a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, cross-functional communication, and the ability to obtain regulatory licenses. A Master or PhD is preferred, and fluency in English and Mandarin is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Cybersecurity, Economics or Philosophy with CGPA 3.60/4.00 or higher.
• Master or PhD qualification preferred to deepen research capabilities.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills are essential for robust equity analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken communications in English and Mandarin are required.
• All Equity Analysts must obtain the necessary regulatory licences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth, timely analysis of listed companies including business, financial performance, management quality and competitive advantages.
• Undertake comprehensive supply chain research to understand businesses beyond the numbers and determine intrinsic value.
• Develop financial models and valuations, assess assumptions, and identify factors impacting investment conclusions.
• Monitor market, economic and political developments and provide prompt, well-supported opinions on stocks when requested.
• Generate and present stock ideas to Fund Managers with clear investment rationales, valuations and risk assessments.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and inform investment opportunities.

Requirements
