Super Uniart Industries is seeking an Equipment Engineer to drive reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment including injection molding, ISBM, two-stage and blow molding systems.
The role focuses on minimizing downtime, optimizing performance, and ensuring safety and quality compliance across molding operations. You will lead maintenance programs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support continuous improvement initiatives with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
The Equipment Engineer is responsible for the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of manufacturing such as injection molding, ISBM, two stage and blow molding machines. This role ensures minimal downtime, optimal performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
1. Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
Improve machine uptime and reduce breakdown frequency
Maintain critical spare parts inventory
2. Process & Equipment Optimization
Optimize machine settings for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction
Support process engineers in improving molding/extrusion processes
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues
Lead installation and commissioning of new machines and auxiliary systems
Work with vendors on Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Ensure proper machine setup, calibration, and documentation
Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Implement automation and digital monitoring where applicable
Reduce scrap, energy usage, and maintenance costs
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards and regulations
Support audits (ISO, GMP if applicable)
6. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain equipment history, maintenance logs, and SOPs
Prepare reports on equipment performance and improvement projects
Update technical drawings and manuals
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams
Train technicians and operators on proper equipment use
Coordinate with suppliers and external contractors
Blow molding machines (EBM, IBM, ISBM, Two Stage Blowing)
Vision System
Auxiliary systems (chillers, dryers, compressors, conveyors, robotics)
Mold and tooling systems
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
5–7 years in manufacturing, preferably in plastics or packaging industry
Hands‑on experience with molding equipment
Strong knowledge of PLC systems
Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and servo systems
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma (preferred)
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Strong troubleshooting skills
Project management capability
Communication and teamwork
Attention to detail and safety awareness
