Job summary

Texas Instruments Electronics Malaysia Sdn Bhd seeks an Equipment Engineer to join a vibrant, team-oriented environment. You will evaluate, select and order manufacturing equipment, oversee installation, upgrade and maintenance, and study equipment performance to improve uptime.

Applicants should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, have a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher, and be open to fresh graduates or under 2 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
• Fresh graduates or less than 2 years of working experience are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and order equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products.
• Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Keep current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.
• Study equipment performance and reliability.
• Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process.
• Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
• Define and write preventative maintenance schedules.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

• Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA, or higher

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of AMAT PVD and/or AMAT TxZ chambers equipment
• Knowledge of PVD, CVD, high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum
• Knowledge of other equipment (e.g., AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, and/or ASM)
• Understanding of tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
• Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
• Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
• Ability to work effectively in an interrupt-driven, fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
• Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
