Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is seeking an Equipment Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on turret equipment and troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and motion-related issues. You will monitor performance data, drive improvements, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to prevent recurring failures.

The role requires a Diploma in electrical/electronic/mechanical fields and 3–5 years of semiconductor

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an equipment technician in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to turret/ test equipment will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on turret equipment to ensure reliability, availability, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and motion-related issues on turret systems and identify root causes of repetitive equipment failures.
• Monitor equipment performance, downtime, alarms, and maintenance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in uptime and MTBF/MTTR.
• Execute equipment recovery and repair activities to minimize downtime and restore tools to production within the required timeframe.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration, adjustment, and component replacement while ensuring equipment meets process and operational requirements.
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve turret equipment-related issues and implement preventive actions to avoid recurring failures.
• Support equipment improvement projects, upgrades, and modifications to enhance turret equipment reliability, performance, and maintainability.
