Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors in Kulim, Malaysia, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to oversee equipment uptime, define procedures and perform preventive maintenance on production assets.

You will set up SAP PM for the maintenance domain, create work instructions, monitor key KPIs and collaborate with process engineering to ensure process stability and yields. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are a must to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining equipment uptime and defining maintenance procedures.
• Experience setting up SAP PM and creating maintenance work instructions.
• Ability to lead a technicians group and coordinate with process engineering.
• Strong trouble-shooting and analytical skills for equipment issues.
• Familiarity with quality systems (FMEA, Control plans) and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Define maintenance procedures and ensure equipment uptime.
• Set up SAP PM and create maintenance work instructions for the area.
• Monitor machine parameters daily and troubleshoot software/hardware issues on tools.
• Lead technicians in preventive maintenance and life-span studies for PM standards.

Job description

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. • Full responsibility of equipment performance uptime. Define maintenance procedures and perform equipment maintenance to keep up and sustain machine basic condition.
• To set-up SAP PM, maintenance work instructions TWI for responsible area. To achieve equipment key KPIs and supporting process engineering and operations teams to achieve process stability, output, process CpK and yield.
• Sustain equipment performance, daily monitoring all machine parameters and addressing Perform troubleshooting on tool's software and hardware part with application of in situ measurement systems
  Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procudure,hook-up , buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team, ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy.
• Perform continuous improvement to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities, perform technical alignment in global technical discussion with Germany
• Potential to lead a group of technicians in trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of equipment,carry out PM activities and life span studies to establish PM standard and specification
• Team up with Process engineer on chronic equipment failure through appropriate trouble-shooting and continuous improvement methodology. Conform to quality system requirement as spelt out in FMEA, Control plan. Maintain effective records on equipment logbook on equipment failure, investigation
