Job summary

AMS OSRAM Malaysia is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to drive equipment performance uptime and sustain machine condition across the production floor. You will define maintenance procedures, set up SAP PM, and work with process engineers to achieve KPIs and process stability.

You'll lead troubleshooting, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement activities with global teams, including coordination with Germany.

Responsibilities

• Full responsibility of equipment performance uptime. Define maintenance procedures and perform equipment maintenance to keep up and sustain machine basic condition.
• Set up SAP PM, maintenance work instructions TWI for responsible area. To achieve equipment KPIs and support process engineering and operations teams to achieve process stability, output, CpK and yield.
• Sustain equipment performance, daily monitoring all machine parameters and address troubleshoot on tool's software and hardware parts with in situ measurement systems.
• Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procedure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment with process engineer, ensure processes and equipment comply with EHS policy.
• Perform continuous improvement to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities, perform technical alignment in global technical discussions with Germany.
• Potential to lead a group of technicians in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment, carry out PM activities and life span studies to establish PM standard and specification.
• Team up with Process engineer on chronic equipment failure through appropriate troubleshooting and continuous improvement methodology. Conform to quality system requirement as spelt out in FMEA, Control plan. Maintain effective records on equipment logbook on equipment failure, investigation.

• Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procedure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team, ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy.
• Perform continuous improvement to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities, perform technical alignment in global technical discussion with Germany
• Potential to lead a group of technicians in trouble shooting and preventive maintenance of equipment,carry out PM activities and life span studies to establish PM standard and specification
• Team up with Process engineer on chronic equipment failure through appropriate trouble-shooting and continuous improvement methodology. Conform to quality system requirement as spelt out in FMEA, Control plan. Maintain effective records on equipment logbook on equipment failure, investigation.
