Job summary

ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors is seeking a technician with expertise in Analytic & Metrology tools to ensure equipment uptime in a high-precision fab in Kulim, Malaysia. The role requires maintaining complex measurement systems, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting equipment qualification alongside process engineers.

You will operate in ISO 3–6 cleanroom conditions, uphold EHS standards, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years semiconductor fab work experience
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of analytic & metrology tools in clean room
• Maintain 5S and safety compliance in EHS focused environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime of analytic & metrology equipment and monitor process parameters
• Perform preventive maintenance and tool software/hardware troubleshooting
• Coordinate start-up and qualification of new equipment with process engineers
• Support continuous improvement projects for equipment development and standardization
• Maintain clean room 5S, safety and EHS compliance
• Work long shifts in ISO 3–6 cleanroom environments with required PPE

Job description

The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

• Responsible for the performance of Analytic & Metrology tools such as photo luminescence, Prober, Candela, XRD, and other associated support tools in fab/fabrication with min 5 years Semiconductor Fab work experience.
• Performing machine schedule maintenance activities in clean room and sub facility with closure SAP PM timely without any safety and quality issue.
• Sustain the running of the equipment ,daily monitoring of all machine & process parameters and addressing line operation issues, ensure the uptime of the equipment with establish and implement preventive maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting of tool software and hardware part with application of measurement systems, daily SPC buyoff, also need to assist engineer's tasks in manufacturing and also development environment
• Transfer and start-up of new equipment, set-up procudure, hook-up, buy-off and qualification of new equipment together with process engineer as team, ensure processes and equipment are compliance to EHS policy.
• Support and perform continuous improvement project to identify equipment development potential, and support development activities together with engineers
• Maintain good 5S, maintenance work quality and safety, carrying out all task compliance to EHS and safety regulations with high senstivity on safety requirement
• Able to work shift with long hours under cleanroom environment under class ISO 3,4,5 and 6 with jumpsuit and booties garment, face mask, and gloves.

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience in Analytic & Metrology equipment, in-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, robot handling, sensor and laser working principles
• Ability to perform mini hardware implementation project to apply hardware standardization and tool matching
