Job summary

Advancecon Infra Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is recruiting an Environmental Compliance Officer to conduct site inspections, oversee BMP adherence, and ensure compliance with EQA1974. The role includes managing waste, preparing for audits, and maintaining ISO 14001:2015 EMS with on-site training for project personnel.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Environmental Science with relevant competency certificates and at least 2 years of construction environmental experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Candidate must possess CISEC or CESSWI or CePEOEIA competency certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental compliance and management, preferably in construction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections and monitor BMP compliance at project sites.
• Ensure compliance with EQA1974 and related acts/guidelines.
• Manage scheduled wastes and ensure proper handling and disposal.
• Prepare for third-party environmental audits by client/authorities.
• Implement and monitor ISO 14001:2015 EMS and provide environmental training.
• Prepare environmental management plans, monthly reports, and checklists for submission.
• Coordinate with labs for environmental quality monitoring and report submission.
• Submit notifications to DOE regarding genset and waste storage; supervise dust control.
• Investigate environmental emergencies or accidents and conduct internal audits.
• Oversee implementation of policies and procedures as required by ISO 14001:2005.
