Job summary

Meinhardt EPCM Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced Environmental Officer to oversee regulatory compliance, emissions controls and environmental performance across major construction sites in Malaysia.

You will review EMPs, monitor dust, drainage and waste management, and support audits and CAPA closures while coordinating with PMC and GC teams to ensure adherence to approvals and local regulations. The role requires 7–10 years of relevant environmental management experience, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant environmental management experience.
• Experience with contractor compliance and construction environmental inspections.
• Experience with earthworks, sediment and drainage controls, dust control and scheduled waste.
• Ability to investigate incidents and manage CAPA where needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974 and project requirements.
• Review contractor EMPs, monitoring plans and risk assessments.
• Maintain environmental legal register and track permits and reporting obligations.
• Support regulatory inspections, audits and escalation of non-compliance.
• Conduct site inspections across plots and facilities; review performance and scorecards.
• Coordinate with Civil, Infrastructure and GC teams on mitigations and readiness.
