Job summary

Sperton Global AS in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Middleware Infrastructure Engineer to manage server-side activities, patching, backups, health checks, and migrations. The role involves OBIEE 12C installation, Aldon server setup for versioning, and Control-M job scheduling.

You will drive automation, design infrastructure solutions per project needs, and collaborate with development and other infra teams to resolve performance issues and ensure smooth deployments.

Qualifications

• Having at least 6 years of expertise in Middleware tech (Weblogic, SFTP, Aldon, OBIEE).
• Technology delivery skills to plan, implement, monitor & report the Infrastructure project requirements.
• Proven experience in Linux / Windows server Migrations.
• Hands-on experience in the ORACLE Database maintenance.
• Experienced in Performance tuning of queries in ORACLE.
• In depth knowledge in Linux, Windows operating system,
• Proficient with Batch & Power Shell scripting

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Finance Application Infra setup and coordinate with Infra team for various Server-side activities such as Server Security Patching / Performance Tuning.
• Review & Facilitate the requests from Application team related to Infra activities such as Database restoration / Database backup.
• Perform/Report the Health checks on the Application environments on daily basis. Automate the health checks/monitoring on a long term.
• Deliver the Server Migration and Database Migration activities with Infra team.
• OBIEE 12C installation and setup.
• Aldon setup for the new servers to maintain the source code versioning.
• Job Scheduling in Control-M
• Drive/Deliver automation in the application environment towards installation & health checks.
• Designing / Solutioning / Provisioning of Application Infrastructure as per the Project needs.
• Application software (Including third party products) installations and upgrades
• Facilitate OS and Other Software patching
• To deliver new server setups/configurations & provision of various application environment
• To work with development team to understand the application requirements from software and infrastructure and suggest/deliver the suitable designs/procedures.
• To work with development team to troubleshoot on any performance related issues and find solutions
• To be able to work with other infrastructure teams like administrators, DBA, Networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules.
• To be able to plan, implement, monitor, report & deliver various key Project requirements.
