Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Ltd. in Johor is seeking an Assistant Facilities Engineer to support the Critical Services and Building Services teams. You will help manage MEP systems, assist in maintaining safe, compliant operations, and contribute to 24/7 facility reliability.

The role develops through a training program with hands-on exposure to HVAC, electrical systems, fire safety, and data centre infrastructure, while coordinating with shift teams and vendors to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/building services engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of facilities management/engineering/building services experience; fresh grads welcome.
• Knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure (HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors).

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of all MEP systems in the data centre.
• Ensure safety policies and compliance with codes.
• Lead shift engineers and coordinate handovers for 24/7 coverage.
• Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance; coordinate with vendors.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to improve mechanical system performance.
