Job summary

Jungheinrich Business Excellence Center Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced Enterprise Architect to shape the IT architecture and technology roadmap for APAC, aligning business strategy with technology execution across global teams.

You will guide decisions across processes, applications, data, infrastructure and security, supporting SAP S/4HANA and digital platform programs within a global matrix.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in IT, Enterprise Architecture or Technology Strategy.
• Experience in digital transformation, enterprise modernization or large-scale IT programs.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English is required; German language knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience working with global teams or regional stakeholders across APAC is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Shape the target IT architecture and technology roadmap for APAC, coordinating with global teams in Hamburg.
• Translate business strategy into architecture and technical decisions across applications, data and infrastructure.
• Support digital transformation programs and SAP S/4HANA initiatives from design to transition.
• Review projects for alignment with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and risk controls.
• Evaluate technology trends and conduct architecture reviews to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with Germany, APAC business teams, IT Security, Compliance and cross-functional IT teams.
• Ensure architecture decisions consider security, data governance and operational requirements.
• Influence management-level decisions and facilitate architecture review discussions.

Role Summary

The Enterprise Architect will shape the target IT architecture and technology roadmap for APAC while working closely with global teams in Hamburg. The role connects business strategy with technology execution, supports digital transformation programs, and ensures that business, application, software and infrastructure decisions are aligned with global enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap in line with business priorities, APAC requirements and global digitalization strategy.
• Guide architecture decisions across business processes, applications, software platforms, data, infrastructure and security.
• Support transformation programs, including SAP S/4HANA and digital platform initiatives, from architecture design through transition to the target landscape.
• Review projects and solution proposals to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, standards and governance.
• Evaluate technology trends, conduct architecture and technology reviews, and support system selection decisions.
• Work closely with Germany, APAC business teams, IT Security, Compliance and cross-functional IT teams.
• Strong Enterprise Architecture capability, including target architecture, architecture principles, technology roadmap and governance practices.
• Ability to translate business strategy into business capabilities, process impact, operating model needs and practical technology decisions.
• Good understanding of application architecture, SAP S/4HANA transformation, application portfolio management and modernization opportunities.
• Knowledge of software and integration architecture, including APIs, integration patterns, cloud-native principles, platform reuse and software lifecycle considerations.
• Good understanding of infrastructure and cloud architecture, including hybrid cloud, Microsoft Azure, identity, network, endpoint, resilience and disaster recovery.
• Ability to ensure architecture decisions consider security, compliance, data governance, technology risk and operational requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business, IT, senior management and global teams.
• Ability to influence decisions, prepare management-level recommendations and facilitate architecture review discussions.
• Strong collaboration mindset to work effectively across APAC and Germany in a global matrix organization.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to simplify complex technology topics and recommend pragmatic solutions.
