Job summary

Wong Engineering in Kedah, Kulim invites a skilled CAD & fabrication technician to join our metal fabrication team. You will translate customer drawings into company formats, prepare process drawings, and generate NC programs for Turret Punch, Laser, and NC-Bending machines.

The ideal candidate holds a professional certificate or diploma with at least one year in metal fabrication or stamping. Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, MS Office, and CAM systems is essential to support continuous

• Professional certificate or diploma required or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in metal fabrication or stamping.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer drawings to company format.
• Review drawings for changes/updates/modifications.
• Generate customer drawings for internal use.
• Create programs for Turret Punch, Laser, Combo & NC-Bending machines.
• Create process drawings.
• Attend customer or internal technical meetings.
• Direct daily tasks to technicians.
• Liaise with customers on drawing issues.
• Convert drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Troubleshoot technical drawing issues.
• Redesign customer drawings as needed.
• Follow environmental policies and comply with regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Management.

Skills/knowledge

• Able to interpret, understand mechanical and technical Drawing.
• Proficient in SolidWorks , Auto Cad software program applications
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office application
• Programming of parts with associated CAM system
• Able to use Measurement Tools

Responsibilities

• Converting drawing from customers to Company format
• Comparison on the drawing that have Changes/update/Modify by
• Generate customer drawing for internal use.
• Generate Program for Turret Punch, Laser, Combo & NC-Bending Machine.
• Generate Process drawing.
• Attend Meeting on customer/internal for technical discussion
• Controlling and delegating daily job or project to technicians
• Liaising with customer on the drawing issue
• Converting drawing from customers to Company format by using AutoCAD or SolidWorks
• Solving problem for any technical issue related to the drawing
• Redesign customer drawing if any
• Follow the Company’s environmental policy and procedures and comply with any environmental related legal or regulatory requirements
• Any other tasks as and when assigned by the Management
