Job summary

DPE CONSULTANTS SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Technical Executive (Civil & Structural CAD Drafter) to create and prepare structural drawings in line with local and company standards, and to work with engineers to develop detailed drawings from sketches.

You will prepare submissions to authorities, ensure code compliance, coordinate with engineers, maintain drawing lists, and supervise junior staff where applicable. Proficiency in BIM, CAD and Revit is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in BIM & CAD operations and Revit.
• Experience in preparing drawings for construction and submissions to local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Create and prepare structural drawings based on local and company drafting standards.
• Work with Engineers to develop detailed structural drawings from sketches, etc.
• Prepare drawings for submissions to all authority departments.
• Inspect all drawings for code compliance, drafting standards and plan presentations before submission to authorities and provide advice to colleagues on non-compliance.
• Coordinate with Engineers on matters relating to code compliance relating to drafting and authority submissions
• Maintain and keep up to date, the project drawing list and drawing revisions.
• Assist Engineers in the preparation and checking of drawings for Buildability and coordination;
• Where applicable, supervise Assistant Technical Officers and Technical Officers within the team including the delegation of tasks;
• Proficiency in BIM & CAD operation;
• Conversant with local drafting code and submission requirements;
• Able to work independently in fast paced working environment;
• Able to produce work of high accuracy.
