Job summary

The Arnott's Group in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, is seeking an Engineering Lead to drive floor-level leadership on a fast-paced food manufacturing line.

You will own active CI projects, provide immediate technical direction to maintenance teams, ensure compliance with FSSC, HACCP and OSHA, and implement coaching and performance appraisal cadences to stabilize and empower the floor team; translate complex technical concepts into simple, actionable steps for operators on the line.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) with 5+ years in a food manufacturing facility.
• Hands-on troubleshooting experience on a fast-paced production floor.
• Experience leading and developing teams on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Audit and take control of the current line maintenance schedule to establish a new baseline for technical direction.
• Identify and remove at least one major bottleneck or quality constraint.
• Own the CI project and drive it back on track for time and budget.
• Implement formal coaching and performance appraisal cadence for direct reports.
• Ensure all processes comply with FSSC, HACCP and OSHA regulations.

We’re the team helping Arnott’s win in Asia. Campbell Malaysia is the Asia hub for The Arnott’s Group, based in Kuala Lumpur, shaping strategy and building our footprint across the region.

The Reality of the Role

This isn't an office-bound engineering job; it is a hands-on, floor-level leadership mandate. We are looking for a decisive operator to halt declining line performance and provide immediate technical direction to our maintenance team. Your primary focus will be taking ownership of active plant improvement projects and resolving compounding bottlenecks, all while fiercely protecting Campbell Malaysia food safety and environmental standards.

What You Will Accomplish

• The 30-Day Mark: Audit and take complete control of the current line maintenance schedule to establish a new baseline for technical direction.
• The 90-Day Mark: Identify and permanently remove at least one major operational bottleneck or quality constraint currently slowing down production.
• Project Ownership: Take over the management of the plant's currently active continuous improvement (CI) project, driving it back on track for both time and budget.
• People Management: Implement a formalized coaching and performance appraisal cadence for all direct reports to stabilize and empower the floor team.
• Absolute Compliance: Ensure all process engineering and maintenance activities strictly adhere to FSSC, HACCP, and OSHA regulations.
