KCK Pharmaceutical Industries Sdn Bhd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to plan and coordinate preventive maintenance of production machinery and plant facilities in Bayan Lepas. You will respond to breakdowns, monitor equipment, troubleshoot issues and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.

Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates with manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience have an advantage.

• Plan, coordinate and execute preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery and facilities.
• Attend to machinery breakdowns and coordinate corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Monitor performance and operating conditions of production equipment and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot technical problems, investigate failures and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate installation, servicing, repair, modification and upgrading of equipment.
• Coordinate engineering projects involving machinery installation, process improvement and facility upgrades.

• Ensure GMP compliance, safety regulations and SOP adherence during activities.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation and audit-ready records.
• Provide engineering support during audits and follow up on audit findings.

• Plan, coordinate and execute preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery, equipment and plant facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Attend to machinery breakdowns and coordinate corrective maintenance activities to minimise production downtime.
• Monitor the performance and operating conditions of production machinery and equipment, identifying potential issues and recommending improvements.
• Troubleshoot technical problems, investigate equipment failures and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate equipment installation, servicing, repair, modification and upgrading activities.
• Coordinate engineering projects involving machinery installation, process improvement, equipment modification, upgrading and facility enhancement.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and relevant departments to ensure engineering projects are completed according to approved specifications, timelines and requirements.
• Monitor project progress, expenditure and technical requirements to ensure projects are delivered efficiently.
• Coordinate equipment qualification, calibration and verification activities in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure equipment and instruments are maintained within the required operating specifications and are fit for their intended use.
• Maintain proper calibration certificates, equipment qualification documents, preventive maintenance schedules and maintenance records.
• Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with applicable Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements, occupational safety regulations and company SOPs.
• Prepare, review and maintain engineering documentation, maintenance reports, equipment records and other relevant technical documents.
• Provide engineering support during internal and external audits and ensure timely follow-up and closure of engineering-related audit findings.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment reliability, operational efficiency, workplace safety and maintenance practices.

Qualification and requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or any other relevant engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with relevant working experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries will have an added advantage.
• Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve engineering-related issues.
