Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Supervisory Engineer for Engineering, Control & Instrumentation. You will enforce compliance with ISO 9001/GMP, safety standards and COVID SOPs while overseeing maintenance and repairs.

You will lead breakdown rectification, preventive maintenance, and calibration of control systems, supervise staff, review documentation, and collaborate with contractors to ensure safety and efficiency in a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate/ Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Control and Instrumentation or Mechatronic is required.
• Minimum 2 years working with PLC (preferably SIEMENS) and instrumentation.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Preferably with working experience in manufacturing or similar industry.
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, wiring/loop drawings and programming is needed.

Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with company rules, ISO 9001/GMP, safety standards, COVID SOPs, 5S, LOTO, and maintenance/repair procedures.
• Plan and organize workflow through duty roster, work schedules, task delegation, and project assignments.
• Execute breakdown rectification and scheduled maintenance (21 days, 45 days, AM, and line stoppages).
• Lead installation, testing, qualification, and calibration of control systems and instrumentation.
• Supervise operational activities to achieve safe, timely, and effective maintenance and repair work.
• Verify and approve documentation including maintenance checklists, spare parts control, and compliance records.
• Drive continuous improvement actions in breakdown reduction, preventive maintenance, rejection control, and 5S.
• Build a motivating work environment by coaching, evaluating performance, and developing personnel skills.
• Prepare and submit reports on attendance, shift handovers, breakdown details, and measurement data.
• Collaborate with inter-departments, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues, coordinate maintenance, and manage spare parts and tools.
