Job summary

Hartalega Holdings Berhad in Malaysia seeks a skilled automation professional to lead control, instrumentation, and data systems in glove manufacturing. You will design and implement advanced control strategies, sensor networks, and real-time monitoring to boost efficiency and traceability.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver a smart factory transformation aligned with Hartalega’s digital roadmap, while applying ISO, GMP, and SHEQ standards and ensuring HSE and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 1 year in automation, instrumentation, or digitalisation in manufacturing.
• Proficient in PLC/SCADA/HMI programming.
• Knowledge of sensors, signals, and industrial networks.
• Basic MES integration, data visualization, and cloud analytics.
• Familiar with ISO, GMP, and SHEQ standards; MS Office proficiency.
• Basic Grafana, InfluxDB, and Node-RED knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute control and digitalization tasks as directed by Senior Engineer.
• Assist PLC program development, SCADA tag config, and HMI screens.
• Support InfluxDB and Grafana setup, dashboards, and data pipelines.
• Configure Modbus, MQTT, and TCP/IP devices and troubleshoot.
• Assist commissioning: loop checks, functional testing, FAT/SAT.
• Prepare wiring lists, tag registers, and test records.
• Aid in diagnosing control faults and document findings.
• Develop knowledge of IT/OT standards and company procedures.
• Learn PLC, SCADA, data platforms, and AI tools through training.
• Follow HSE and cybersecurity procedures; report issues.
