Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman to prepare and revise engineering drawings for fabrication and installation. You will develop 2D drawings and, when required, 3D models based on engineers’ designs and project specs.

You will coordinate with project and production teams, check dimensions and material specifications, prepare bills of materials, and maintain revision registers and as-built records. Travel to site locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, CAD or related discipline.
• 1–2 years drafting experience in engineering, fabrication, or manufacturing.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; Inventor or Revit is an added advantage.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and site measurements.
• Willing to travel to project sites as required.
• Knowledge of APCS and IETS is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise engineering drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D models when required.
• Coordinate with project and production teams for practical drawings.
• Check dimensions, materials, and technical details before review.
• Prepare bills of materials and material take-offs.
• Update drawings to reflect changes and site measurements.
• Maintain drawing registers and revision records.
• Prepare as-built drawings after installation.
• Attend site visits to take measurements and verify details.
