Job summary

Venture is seeking an Engineer, Test Development (R&D) to join our Senai, Johor Bahru team. The role focuses on developing test software for PCBA, Sub-assembly and top level tests, and deploying these solutions at manufacturing sites.

You will lead test software development, mentor junior engineers and drive improvements in test efficiency and production output, while aligning with product specifications and SOWs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of LabVIEW, Visual Studio, C++ and other standard industry software tools.
• Knowledge of Android apps development, and database structure is advantageous.
• High integrity, initiative and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop test software and applications for PCBA / Sub‑assembly / Top Level / Burn‑in manufacturing test.
• Deploy test solutions at manufacturing sites and provide test support and training.
• Lead development of test software and coach junior engineers on deployment.
• Enhance test solutions to improve efficiency and production output.
• Scope out proposals and solutions in Statements of Work (SOW) based on product specs.
• Collaborate with the manager to review test proposals and SOWs.

We’re looking to add an Engineer, Test Development (R&D) in Senai, Johor Bahru.

As an Engineer, Test Development (R&D), You will:

Develop test software and applications for PCBA / Sub-assy / Top Level / Burn in manufacturing test

Deploy test solutions at manufacturing sites and provide test support / training to the operation test engineering team

Key / Lead developer in test software development and coaching junior development engineer in deploying test solutions plus training / support in manufacturing sites (only applicable for senior role)

Develop / Enhance test solution for existing line test process / software to improve efficiency and optimize production output

Scope out test proposal and solution in Statement of Work (SOW) based on product specification

Work closely with manager to review together the test proposal and solution in Statement of Work (SOW) based on product specification (only applicable for senior role)

Research on latest electronic / software technologies and evaluate the feasibility of implementation into test systems & architecture with cost effectiveness in mind

Lead and provide technologies for test system & architecture implementations (only applicable for senior role)

Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company's Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs

Participant in any special projects / programs as & when assigned by Company

What skills and experiences are we looking:

Strong knowledge of LabVIEW, Visual Studio, C++ and the other standard industry software programming tools is an added advantage

Excellent in mastering latest electronics technology and implementation into test solutions

Knowledge in Android apps development, database structure and application would be advantageous

Possess high level of integrity, initiative and sense of urgency

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills

Team player who is dynamic, self-motivated and result oriented

Strong analytical approach and methodology in problem solving

Strong team leader with excellent motivational skill
