Northport (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a software professional to design, develop, deploy and maintain applications and systems in a busy port environment. You will ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability while building integrations with enterprise platforms and supporting production systems.

The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Exposure to SDLC, security practices, and operational contexts will be an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain applications and systems.
• Ensure application scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Develop integrations between internal systems and enterprise platforms.
• Prepare technical documentation and user guides as required.
• Provide Level 2/3 application support for production systems.
• Troubleshoot defects, incidents and performance issues within SLA timelines.
• Support patching, upgrades, bug fixes and change implementation activities.
• Monitor health and support service restoration activities.
• Adhere to development standards and cybersecurity requirements.

• Minimum - Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• The ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of experience in software development, application support, or system implementation. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Added Advantage Factors

• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with APIs, system integrations and web technologies.
• Understanding of SDLC and change management processes.
• Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
• Exposure to operational environments and enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD and source control tools

Salary Information

• Between RM3,600 to RM6,000 depending on candidate qualification, experience and added advantage factors.

Role & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to, the following) :

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain applications and systems.
• Ensure application scalability, performance and maintainability.
• Develop integrations between internal systems, enterprise platforms and operational applications.
• Prepare technical documentation and user guides where required.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 application support for production systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, incidents and performance issues within agreed SLA timelines.
• Support patching, upgrades, bug fixing and change implementation activities.
• Monitor application health and support service restoration activities.
• Follow established development standards, cybersecurity requirements and governance policies.
• Maintain technical specifications and operational documentation.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to development best practices.
• Support testing, deployment and release management activities.
• Work closely with business users, operations teams, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams and vendors.
• Support requirement discussions, UAT activities and deployment planning.
• Coordinate with external vendors for issue resolution and enhancement delivery.
• Provide technical support during system implementation and post-go-live activities.
• Support audit, compliance and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Ensure backup, logging and monitoring requirements are implemented.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises and continuity activities.
• Support security patching and remediation activities.
