B. Braun Group in Penang is seeking an Engineer - Network Administrator to manage enterprise network infrastructure, including WAN/LAN, security, and communications systems.

You will collaborate with global teams to implement upgrades, monitor performance, and resolve complex incidents, ensuring security and reliability. The role requires hands-on SD-WAN experience (VMware VeloCloud), Azure networking exposure, and familiarity with CheckPoint and DDI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms (preferably VMware VeloCloud).
• Familiarity with cloud security solutions Zscaler.
• Strong understanding of WAN technologies and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience troubleshooting network outages and incidents within SLA.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours for global collaboration.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure networking and cloud integration preferred.
• Exposure to network security, firewall and DDI tech, including CheckPoint Firewall and BloxOne DDI, IPAM, CheckMK, StableNet.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain enterprise network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security).
• Support design, implementation, lifecycle management, and maintenance of global voice/video systems.
• Perform performance monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, optimization.
• Ensure network stability, availability, and performance; handle incidents.
• Participate in network installation, upgrade, maintenance, lifecycle activities.
• Coordinate and manage external service providers and vendors.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and configurations.
• Support problem management processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate within global teams and manage multiple tasks independently.
• Lead execution of network operations, maintenance, and support activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• Support network upgrades, configurations, and optimization.
• Monitor system performance and propose improvements for reliability.
• Ensure compliance with network security policies and standards.

Your key responsibilities:

What you will bring to the team:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science of the related field or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with SD-WAN platforms (preferably VMware VeloCloud).
• Familiarity with cloud security solutions Zscaler.
• Strong understanding of WAN technologies and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience in troubleshooting network outages and resolving incidents within SLA.
• Demonstrates a strong learning orientation, adaptability, and openness to acquiring new technologies and skills.
• Flexibility to occasionally adjust working hours to support collaboration across global time zones. Able to work on evening and weekend if necessary.
• Prefer with experience with Microsoft Azure networking and cloud integration.
• Prefer with exposure to network security, firewall, and DDI technologies, including CheckPoint Firewall and BloxOne DDI, with familiarity in IPAM and monitoring tools such as CheckMK and StableNet.
