Job summary

Sanmina-SCI Systems (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Technoplex Penang) is seeking a PCN Coordinator to drive end-to-end PCN activities, from change proposals to customer closure.

You will coordinate with Product, Process, FE Engineering, Production, Materials and Business teams to arrange build/test slots and ensure samples reach the plant and customers on schedule. You will lead regular reviews with customers and EMS partners, provide daily updates on high-priority builds, and monitor material

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Science) or Supply Chain Management / Operations; minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., Oracle, Agile PLM).
• Good understanding of PCN processes, including JEDEC standards (or industry equivalents) for change classification and customer notification requirements.
• Technical proficiency in statistical tools and materials science knowledge is advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional collaboration.
• Able to manage complex timelines with multiple stakeholders to ensure on-schedule builds.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end PCN-related activities from change proposal through qualification to final customer approval/closure.
• Manage End-to-End sample request lifecycle; coordinate with Product, Process, FE Engineering, Production, Materials, and Business teams to secure build/test slots and timely delivery.
• Lead weekly or bi-weekly progress reviews with customers and EMS partners to track approvals and roadmaps.
• Provide daily operational updates for high-priority builds to maintain milestone transparency.
• Monitor material ROD and collaborate with purchasing and suppliers to secure pre-PCN materials.
• Oversee PCN workflow approvals within PLM systems (Agile) and ensure proper documents and test reports are uploaded.
• Collaborate with Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Shipping to clear import/export roadblocks and expedite samples.
• Maintain KPIs like sample on-time delivery cycle time and continuously refine PCN workflows.
• Support onboarding of new customer PCN requirements and processes; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Manage the End-to-End sample request lifecycle. Collaborate closely with Product, Process, Front-End (FE) Engineering, Production, Materials, and Business teams to arrange build/test slots, ensuring qualification samples arrive at plant and delivery to customer on schedule

Lead weekly or bi-weekly progress reviews with customers and EMS partners to track approval roadmaps and progress. Provide daily operational updates for high-priority or critical builds to ensure milestone transparency.

Monitor material ROD. Work closely with purchasing team and suppliers to secure pre-PCN materials

Oversee PCN workflow approvals within PLM systems (Agile). Ensure all supporting documents, qualification test reports are properly compiled and uploaded into the system

Proactively collaborate with Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Shipping teams to clear import/export roadblocks and expedite high-priority customer samples.

Maintain key performance metrics such as sample on-time delivery cycle time

Continuously refine internal PCN workflows to reduce cycle times and improve overall compliance.

Support the on-boarding of new customer PCN requirements and process.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support organizational growth and evolving project requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

Education & Experience:-

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Science) or Supply Chain Management / Operations, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience.

Technical & Industry Knowledge:-

Advanced knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g., Oracle, Agile PLM).

Good understanding of PCN processes, including JEDEC standards (or industry equivalents) for change classification and customer notification requirements, is an added advantage.

Technical proficiency in statistical tools and a solid understanding of materials science are added advantages.

Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail. Comfortably collaborates within cross-functional teams

Assertive and proactive approach to problem resolution with excellent negotiation skills.

Able manage complex timelines involving multiple stakeholders (e.g., customers, internal engineering, materials, schedulers, shipping) to ensure builds are completed on schedule.
