Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia is seeking a process engineer focused on Metrology to support manufacturing and quality teams in reducing disruptions and improving yield.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, technology and quality, while handling tool installations, process transfers and risk assessments to ensure robust processes and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD in Engineering/Physics/Statistics or Applied Science.
• 0–5 years of experience as process engineer in semiconductor industry.
• Experience/knowledge in metrology, defect density or FA equipment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
• Strong communication skills; team player.
• Innovative and able to drive technical projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform process engineering and production support in one selected assigned area of semiconductor process (Metrology).
• Work with manufacturing/maintenance/technology/quality to resolve production and quality issues and reduce line disruptions.
• Support tool installations, process and technology transfers to meet company targets, following standard flow.
• Perform FMEA and risk assessment of process changes with proper change management.
• Ensure robustness of processes with APC, SPC and other control tools.
• Manage recipe and procedural control; develop and maintain process & operation specs and OCAP.
• Perform Gage R&R, MSA and calibration methods.
• Initiate, coordinate and support excursion prevention, cost reduction and quality improvement projects.

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Perform process engineering and production support in one selected assigned area of semiconductor process (Metrology).
• Work as a team with manufacturing/ maintenance/ technology/quality to resolve production and quality issues and reduce production line disruptions.
• Support tool installations, process & technology transfers to meet company targets, following standard process & tool release business flow.
• Perform FMEA, risk assessment of process changes, with proper process change management.
• Ensure the robustness of processes with Advance Process Control (APC), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other process control tools.
• Manage recipe and procedural control. Develop and maintain process & operation specifications as well as Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP)
• Perform Gage R&R;, Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and calibration method.
• Initiate, coordinate and support excursion prevention, cost reduction and quality improvement projects
