Job summary

OSK Construction Sdn Bhd (A member of OSK Group) is seeking a Project Planner with a Civil Engineering background to develop and manage master schedules using Microsoft Project. The role focuses on defining deliverables, milestones and staffing needs to drive timely project delivery.

The candidate will monitor progress through regular reports, resolve bottlenecks, coordinate reviews with clients, and ensure core project controls are in place.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule the project by developing a project master schedule using Microsoft Project.
• Identify deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and staffing to allocate resources across project phases.
• Implement the work schedule and monitor progress through daily/weekly/monthly reports to ensure timely execution.
• Progress monitoring of specific projects; anticipate and resolve bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts; maintain package work plans.
• Coordinate internal project reviews and obtain client approval of schedules, progress measurement and reporting systems.
• Ensure project controls documents (resources histogram, schedules, reporting systems, material controls, etc.) are developed and reviewed; address interfaces.
• Carry out any other duties as instructed by Management.

Job description

To be eligible for this role, you will require :

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

Tasks & Responsibilities :

To plan and schedule the project by developing a project master schedule in line with the proposal requirements through the application of the Microsoft Project.

To identify the project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks and targets to determine the staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project through the project measurement system.

To implement the work schedule and monitor progress of the work for timely execution of the project through daily/weekly/monthly/ reports with respect to review of the overall project.

To progress monitoring of specific projects on a regular basis. Anticipate and resolve any problems, bottlenecks/scheduling conflicts. Prepare and maintain package work plans and monitor progress to achieve on time or earlier deliveries to keep the project on schedule.

To co-ordinate internal project team reviews followed by an approval and review by the client of the work schedule, progress measurement and reporting systems. Review status reports, modify schedules and plans as required and keep the management and Project director apprised of the progress on a regular basis.

To ensure that project controls documents such as resources histogram, schedules, reporting systems, material controls systems, etc. are fully developed by the designated personnel and reviewed by Construction Management and that Engineering and Procurement interfaces are properly addressed.

To carry out any other duties as and when instructed by the Management from time to time.
