Texchem Corporation Sdn Bhd, based in Penang, Malaysia, seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead end-to-end product design and development across multiple divisions. You will translate customer requirements into functional 3D models and 2D drawings, driving concepts through to manufacturable solutions.
You will collaborate with engineering, production, QA, and toolmakers to resolve challenges, ensure quality and on-time delivery, and support IP filings with design documentation.
Lead and manage end-to-end product design and development projects across all division entities.
Translate customer requirements into functional and manufacturable designs through the creation and modification of 3D models and 2D technical drawings.
Conduct research and develop innovative design solutions for new market sectors and advanced manufacturing processes.
Collaborate closely with customers to understand design requirements and develop conceptual thermoformed product designs.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality assurance, and toolmakers to resolve project-related challenges, ensuring product quality and adherence to timelines.
Ensure all design activities comply with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Support intellectual property initiatives by contributing to design documentation and analysis for patent applications
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Knowledge in 3D CAD modelling, software and 2D technical drafting (e.g., Unigraphics NX, SolidWorks).
Creative, innovative, and proactive problem-solver.
Strong project management and organizational capabilities.
Effective team player with the ability to lead initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with customers and suppliers.
Results-oriented and capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
