Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Malaysia seeks a skilled engineer to diagnose and repair electronic assemblies to the component level using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and analyzers.

You will analyze failed PCBAs from production or returns to determine root cause and document findings. Collaborating with development, engineering and production teams, you will interpret schematics and layouts, support troubleshooting procedure improvements, and ensure ESD, IPC and safety standards are upheld

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing electronic assemblies to component level.
• Ability to read schematics and PCB layouts.
• Familiarity with IPC and safety standards.
• Strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electronic assemblies down to the component level using test equipment.
• Analyze failed PCBAs from production or customer returns (RMA) to determine root cause.
• Document failure analysis reports and repair actions.
• Collaborate with development, engineering and production teams to resolve recurring issues and improve yield.
• Able to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and technical documentation.
• Provide support on the development and improvement of troubleshooting procedures and test fixtures.
• Maintain compliance with ESD, IPC, and safety standards during repair operations.
• Provide technical support and training to technicians as needed.
