Job summary

Lingkaran Trans Kota Sdn. Bhd. (LITRAK) is seeking an Engineer – Civil to support planning, inspection, maintenance, and improvement of highway infrastructure in Malaysia. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply and may gain exposure to regulatory and operational requirements.

You will inspect highway assets, assess defects, and coordinate repair and upgrading works while liaising with authorities and preparing technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Highway Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, planning, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Good technical report writing and proposal preparation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct highway engineering inspections to ensure structural integrity and safety of assets.
• Assess and analyse highway defects, damages, and structural issues; propose remedial solutions.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and monitor highway repairs, rehabilitation and upgrading works.
• Review third-party applications and prepare engineering comments, reports, and recommendations.
• Liaise with local authorities and government agencies on approvals and inspections.
• Prepare engineering reports, proposals, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate measurement, testing and gauging activities for monitoring and maintenance.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Engineer – Civil to support the planning, inspection, maintenance, and improvement of highway infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering inspections, defect assessments, project planning, monitoring repair and upgrading works, liaising with authorities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. Fresh graduates with a strong passion for highway and infrastructure engineering are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct highway engineering inspections to ensure the structural integrity and safety of highway assets.
• Assess and analyse highway defects, damages, and structural issues, and propose suitable remedial solutions.
• Plan, coordinate, supervise, and monitor highway repair, rehabilitation, and upgrading works.
• Review third-party applications and prepare engineering comments, reports, and recommendations.
• Liaise with local authorities and relevant government agencies on approvals, inspections, meetings, and implementation matters.
• Prepare engineering reports, proposals, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate measurement processes, testing, and gauging activities for monitoring and maintenance purposes.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with LLM systems, including the Expressway Performance Indicator (EPI) and Toll Road Evaluation and Monitoring System (TEAMS).
• Support compliance with Environmental Quality, Occupational Safety & Health, and QESH Management System requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Highway Engineering, or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with relevant experience in highway, infrastructure, road maintenance, or construction projects will have an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good technical report writing and proposal preparation skills.
• Ability to plan, coordinate, and implement engineering and operational activities effectively.
• Knowledge of highway engineering, maintenance practices, and infrastructure asset management is an advantage.
