Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Batching Plant Engineer to oversee the daily operations of our batching plant within the precast production facility.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, at least 3 years in precast manufacturing, and be fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will ensure quality, safety, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in the precast manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the batching plant, including production, maintenance, inventory control, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Ensure correct mix design is accurately keyed into the batching system.
• Control concrete quality and minimize rejection rates.
• Investigate and report on concrete quality issues, including preparing rejection/wastage reports.
• Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules for plant equipment and machinery.
• Maintain and update plant drawings, standards, and operating procedures.
• Plan material requirements and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery.
• Develop and implement quality control measures for incoming materials.
• Monitor and optimize plant performance, including output, energy efficiency, and waste management.
• Support annual budget preparation and long-term planning for plant operations.
• Train and supervise batching plant staff.

This role is critical to ensuring consistent concrete quality, plant efficiency, and safety compliance within our precast production facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the batching plant, including production, maintenance, inventory control, safety, and environmental compliance
• Ensure correct mix design is accurately keyed into the batching system
• Control concrete quality and minimize rejection rates
• Investigate and report on concrete quality issues, including preparing rejection/wastage reports
• Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules for plant equipment and machinery
• Maintain and update plant drawings, standards, and operating procedures
• Plan material requirements and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery
• Develop and implement quality control measures for incoming materials
• Monitor and optimize plant performance, including output, energy efficiency, and waste management
• Support annual budget preparation and long-term planning for plant operations
• Conduct periodic stock counts and resolve material variances
• Train and supervise batching plant staff
• Enforce daily housekeeping standards within the plant area
• Undertake other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in the precast manufacturing industry
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written)
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, able to prepare basic reports
• Good attendance and punctuality track record
