Job summary

Dürr Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an Engineer in Subang Jaya to contribute to the development and implementation of electrical and electronic systems and robotic components. This full‑time position emphasizes performance, reliability, and innovation within automotive-related projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, technicians, and engineers to ensure successful delivery, perform design analyses, and support continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in robotics/mechatronics/electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
• Industrial exposure in automation/robotic/control systems design, development, and implementation.
• Proficient in robotic programming (C language, C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS, or similar).
• Hands-on programming and troubleshooting with robotic hardware, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, PLC.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and robotic components per project specs and standards.
• Conduct analyses, feasibility studies, and simulations to evaluate performance and identify optimisations.
• Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and engineers to ensure delivery.
• Perform machine sequence verification, testing, troubleshooting, and validation for quality and safety.

The role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer that plays a crucial role in the development and implementation phase. This full-time position will contribute to the technical excellence of our projects, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and innovation.

What you'll be doing

• Develop electrical and electronic systems, circuits, and robotic components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Conduct technical analysis, feasibility studies, and simulations to evaluate system performance and identify optimisation opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, technicians, and other engineers to ensure successful delivery
• Conduct machine sequence verification, testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical and electronic systems to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders as required
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure adherence to engineering best practices and company procedures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions to enhance product and service quality

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Robotics / Mechatronic / Electrical / Electronic Engineering or any related engineering discipline from a recognised institution.
• Industrial exposure in automation / robotic / control systems system design, development, and implementation development.
• Proficient in robotic programming (C language, C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS, or similar).
• Hands-on programming and troubleshooting experience with robotic hardware, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, control systems and Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
• Knowledgeable networking or robot communication system (EtherNet/IP & PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, CAN bus / CANopen or similar)
• Good understanding of robot kinematics, dynamics, and motion control, electrical theory
• Basic familiarity with 3D or CAD software (AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar) and E-plan (Electrical Circuit diagram)
• Experiences with automotive paint & sealing will be advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges and develop practical solutions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment including working on Public Holiday(s) and odd hours
