What you'll be doing

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems using industry-standard CAD software and engineering principles
• Conduct feasibility studies and technical analyses to evaluate project requirements and constraints
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for manufacturing and implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and project management to ensure successful project delivery
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and prototypes
• Optimise existing designs and processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
• Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Experience in product design, development, or manufacturing environments
• Competency in technical documentation and the ability to communicate complex information clearly
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
• Preferred experience: exposure to hard disk drive (HDD) technology, hydraulic or pneumatic systems, or precision engineering
