Job summary

Longi Solar is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead the energy storage market entry in Malaysia. You will identify opportunities, build strong relationships with IPPs and EPCs, and drive projects from early engagement to contract signing.

The role requires a proactive, market-savvy professional with at least five years in energy sector sales or BD, capable of working independently in a fast-growing renewables environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in the energy sector.
• Familiarity with energy policies and regulations relevant to the region.
• Deep understanding of local market demand and project operation models.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end business development in the Malaysia energy storage market.
• Proactively identify new business opportunities, including energy storage projects and partnerships.
• Analyze market trends, policies, and the competitive landscape across energy storage, IPP, EPC, and equipment markets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, including IPPs, EPC contractors, local governments, and power grid companies.
• Drive project cooperation and achieve business targets.
• Manage the full project development process from opportunity identification to contract signing.
• Coordinate internal resources to support client communication and project execution.
• Resolve issues arising during business development and project promotion.
