• Familiarity with semiconductor factory equipment is an advantage.
• Good command of English; Chinese proficiency is a plus.
• Embedded programming with C/C++; Python or C# a plus.

Embedded Systems Engineer - Equipment Integration (Semiconductor)

Role Overview

Deploy and integrate Innowave's equipment-connection solution (InnoConnect) at customer semiconductor fabs. Working on-site, you'll survey the tools, analyse their signals and interfaces, and bring integration units live - with firmware and software development supporting the integration effort. It's a hands-on, field-facing role for an engineer who's as comfortable at a customer's tool as at the bench.

What you'll do

• Integrate equipment across factory fieldbus / industrial protocols and the plant network.
• Develop and debug the embedded firmware and software of the InnoConnect product to support the above.

What you'll bring

• Must be legally eligible to work in Malaysiawithout the need for a work pass or visa sponsorship.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience.
• On-site deployment, commissioning and equipment-survey ability, backed by strong hands-on skills - wiring, assembly, bench bring-up and field troubleshooting.
• The ability to analyse serial (RS-232/RS-485/UART), USB and video signals, and interface with factory equipment.
• Familiarity with factory fieldbus / industrial protocols and plant networking, and the ability to carry an integration through to completion.
• Working knowledge of Docker, Windows and Linux, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with semiconductor factory equipment (hands-on fab / equipment experience is an advantage).
• A good command of English, with proficiency in Chinese as a strong plus to support our world-class, global client base.
• Embedded programming with C/C++ experience, and familiarity with the InnoConnect product's embedded firmware/software (Python or C# a plus).

Nice to have

• Experience with SECS/GEM or other semiconductor equipment-communication standards.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites internationally or domestically and work independently in the field.
