Job summary

Bosch Cross‑Domain Computing Solutions (XC) in Penang invites an embedded software engineer to join a team focused on V2X, infotainment, and cockpit solutions. You will collaborate on software design, capture requirements, and ensure compliance with Bosch engineering processes while contributing to system integration and field support.

The role requires hands-on embedded development, strong C programming, and Linux expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical/Electronic or Computer Engineering/Science.
• Proven embedded software engineering experience.
• Hands-on development and debugging on embedded targets.
• Strong C or OO programming skills.
• Experience with Linux embedded development and cross-compiling.
• Knowledge of Linux driver porting and Kernel Device Tree.
• Ability to read schematics and data sheets.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work in Bayan Lepas Phase 1, Penang or Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a project team member on software design.
• Gather customer/internal requirements and define concepts.
• Follow Bosch Software Engineering Process including reviews.
• Develop software design mindful of module dependencies.
• Program SW using standard and proprietary tools/libraries.
• Create test specs and tests; develop test software if needed.
• Analyze failures and resolve design issues.
• Produce technical reports and design analyses.
• Support Manufacturing with troubleshooting and post-production support.
