Job summary

Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) in Penang, Malaysia, invites applications for a Senior/Staff Embedded Software Engineer. You will develop embedded firmware for Bosch products, basing work on customer and internal test requirements, and interfacing with test systems via Serial, Ethernet and USB.

You will collaborate with the Malaysia and Germany teams to achieve integrated HW-SW bring-up, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and contribute to postproduction analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/CE/EE.
• Hands-on embedded software development experience.
• Experience with RTOS and microcontroller peripherals.
• Ability to read schematics and datasheets.
• Familiar with interfaces SPI, I2C, UART, PCIe, USB, MII.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware for Bosch products.
• Base firmware on customer and internal test requirements.
• Interface firmware with test systems via Serial, Ethernet, USB.
• Collaborate with global teams in Malaysia and Germany.
• Perform HW-SW integration bring up and troubleshooting.
• Provide postproduction and failure analysis support.
• Adhere to Bosch Software Engineering Process including reviews.
• Develop software design mindful of module dependencies.
• Create test specifications and execute test plans.
• Analyze failure logs and resolve design issues.
• Produce design analyses and technical reports.
• Capture customer requirements and vehicle interface requirements.
