Job summary

BluOcean Security Sdn Bhd is seeking an Embedded GSOC Physical Security System Analyst to monitor and troubleshoot security systems for a 24x7 SOC with an MNC client. The role requires onsite work and rotation across morning, afternoon, and night shifts.

You will perform health checks, generate incident reports, and coordinate with vendors, while applying knowledge of access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. Proficiency in English and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or IS.
• Experience is advantageous.
• Genetec knowledge is an advantage.
• Basic IT hardware, networking, and database understanding.
• Willing to work onsite on shift hours (including night shift).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• English fluency; other languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor/troubleshoot/manage the security system for the 24x7 SOC.
• Perform daily system health checks and monitor health status.
• Data analysis and generate client reports.
• Support and troubleshoot software issues including access control, CCTV, alarm, and visitor management.
• Acknowledge alarms, answer calls, and troubleshoot.
• Log defects and track via trouble tickets.
• Document steps to resolve incidents in the service ticketing system.
• Program access control and intrusion detection hardware upon approval.

Embedded GSOC Physical Security System Analyst

Reporting to: GSOC Team Supervisor

Working Hours: 8 hours per shift according to monthly roaster

7am -3pm (morning shift)

3pm – 11pm (afternoon shift)

11pm – 7am+1 (night shift)

General Overview: As a Security System Analyst, you are responsible for the smooth security system operations for an MNC client's Security operation center (24*7 SOC center). Responsibilities may include security system monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis reporting, preventive health checking, coordinating with other parties, and working with other team members to achieve objectives. You will ensure that customers have the best possible experience and have the highest quality of services.

Main Responsibilities may include:

• Monitor/troubleshoot/manage the security system for the customer's security operation center (24*7 SOC center).
• Perform daily system health checks, proactively monitor system health status.
• Data analysis and generate report per client requirements.
• Support and troubleshoot software issues, including access control, CCTV, alarm, visitor management, and any other systems under contract.
• Acknowledge alarms, answer calls, and troubleshooting.
• Eliminate alarm defects, track and manage via trouble tickets.
• Follow standard practices and procedures to respond appropriately to external and internal threats.
• Report alarm defects through trouble tickets to upper management.
• Perform initial investigation and/or troubleshooting of the system and network issues for trouble shooting purposes.
• Mask alarms points as approved.
• Thoroughly document steps to resolve incidents in the service ticketing system.
• Perform various programming and technical project/ administration related activities on the security systems.
• Access provisioning.
• Upon approval, program access control and intrusion detection hardware.

Requirements:

• Posses a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer science or Information System major.
• Relevant working experience is a great advantage.
• Knowledge of Genetec is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of IT hardware, networking, and database management.
• Familiar with access control, CCTV, and Alarm system products & system is an advantage.
• Must be willing to work onsite on shift hours (even night shift).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Highly adaptable individual with fast learning ability.
• Excellent command of English (both Written and Oral), proficient in other languages is a plus.
