Job description

Develop, deploy and maintain full-stack software desktop/web applications based on C++ and Python language with respect to user and business requirements. This person must demonstrate strong ability to interpret technical specifications into scalable, maintainable and efficient code. This person must be able to work with product managers, other engineers, and testers to fulfill customers’ requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• - Develop, test, and maintain software applications that interact with embedded systems and hardware components.
• - Develop automation frameworks that increase productivity, minimize errors, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• - Able to create detailed test plans, perform debugging and troubleshooting, execute test activities, and produce clear and comprehensive test documentation.
• - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including embedded software engineers, hardware engineers, and product management, to define software requirements and architecture.
• - Utilizing application interfaces (APIs) that facilitate communication between software applications and embedded systems.
• - Participate in agile technical discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting and testing related with app developments using CI/CD pipeline or equivalent automation tools.
• - Familiarity with Git source control and Gitlab CI/CD pipeline.
• - Proficiency in software development and automation tools, including Python, C++, and OpenTAP.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or software related field.

SKILLSETS

• - Strong understanding of software architecture, particularly in systems that interact with hardware.
• - Experience with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN) and real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
• - Strong understanding of instrument APIs/SDKs and ability to integrate multiple hardware devices into a unified software environment.
• - Familiarity with automation frameworks to streamline measurement workflows and improve operational efficiency.
• - Proficiency in debugging and optimizing software for performance and reliability.
