Job summary

Otis Elevator Company (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quality Inspection Technician in Malaysia to ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and regulatory standards. The role focuses on readiness for Certificate of Fitness renewals and ongoing inspection duties for lifts and escalators.

Candidates should have a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics, a valid CP3, and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics or related technical disciplines.
• Must possess a valid CP3 Certificate of Competency.
• 1-3 years of experience in elevators, escalators, construction, M&E, building services, maintenance, or commissioning is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine the lifts and escalators at least once every three months.
• Prepare corrective action reports for deficiencies and track closure.
• Notify DOSH of any accident or incident involving lifts or escalators.
• Conduct periodic Safety Critical Maintenance Task (SCMT) and escalate findings.
• Support EHS in safety and health compliance.
