St Joseph’s Institution International School (SJIIS) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). We teach the UK National Curriculum, with the exception of Singapore Maths. The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is used as a vehicle for teaching cross-curricular units. The Lower School Coordinator is a combined teaching and leadership position. The successful candidate will be a class teacher within Years 1–3 and will provide academic and pastoral leadership across the Lower School, working closely with Heads of Year, teachers and the wider Elementary leadership team. The role will include a meaningful class teaching commitment, ensuring the successful candidate remains closely connected to classroom practice and pupil learning while having sufficient dedicated time to fulfil their leadership responsibilities effectively.

Experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum and/or the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) across Key Stage 1 is required. Experience of leading a primary team, using pupil data to drive improvement, and working with Read Write Inc phonics frameworks, Singapore Maths or inquiry-based learning is desirable.
