St Joseph’s Institution International School (SJIIS) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the IGCSE and A Level examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school’s Lasallian heritage. This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts.

SJIIS is seeking an outstanding and inspirational Music Teacher whose passion and experience will transform the outcomes of our students and enrich our vibrant co-curricular program. The role involves teaching Music to students in Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, preparing them for the IGCSE and A Level examinations.

Crucially, we are looking for a candidate with proven experience in:

Directing and developing school ensembles, such as orchestras, bands, and choirs.

Organising and coordinating school-wide musical performances and events.

Requirements:

Responsibility:

To teach pupils assigned to your class within the school and carry out duties as required by the Head of Department.

To promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJIIS.

Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reports meet the expectations of the school.

To actively contribute to wider school development and growth, particularly in the Arts.

Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge (IGCSE experience is desirable).
