Job summary

Cape EMS Berhad, a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services provider in Malaysia, is seeking a Test & Debug Technician. You will diagnose, test, and repair electronic products and PCB assemblies, reading schematics and using multimeters and oscilloscopes to ensure quality and reliability.

This role offers AWS, medical, dental and transport allowances, and supports continuous improvement of product quality and manufacturing efficiency. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in electronic troubleshooting, debugging, testing or repair in manufacturing.
• Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge and willingness to learn encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of electronic circuit troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with electronic testing equipment is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, debug, test, and repair electronic products and PCB assemblies.
• Diagnose product failures and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct functional testing and verification to meet specifications.
• Read schematics and technical documents.
• Use debugging tools and equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
• Record findings and testing results for traceability.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain engineering docs.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Production and Quality to resolve issues.
