Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a hardware design engineer to interpret specifications and translate them into practical electronic designs. You will develop schematics, perform circuit design, and lay out PCBs in line with customer requirements.

The role involves designing and validating electronics to meet functional, reliability, and regulatory standards, plus documenting processes to support manufacturing and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication or Mechatronics or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience; fresh graduates with good circuitry knowledge may apply.
• Able to read schematics and understand component datasheets.
• Able to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mandarin language required for supplier communications.

Responsibilities

• Interpret product specifications and translate into practical hardware design concepts.
• Develop schematics, perform circuit design, and execute PCB layout per requirements.
• Design and validate electronic hardware for functionality, reliability, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical documentation to support development, manufacturing, and projects.
• Collaborate with production and test teams for validation, debugging, and final testing.
• Apply DFM and DFT principles to enable efficient mass production.
• Provide technical support across cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
