Job summary

LONGMOTIVE (M) SDN BHD is actively overseeing electrical safety during the hyperscale data centre construction in Johor Bahru and Klang Valley. The Energy Marshal will verify LOTO procedures, lead electrical hazard control, and coordinate safety practices with contractors and commissioning teams on site.

The role requires hands-on oversight of electrical installations, energized zones, and risk mitigation with a focus on compliance with Malaysian regulations and client safety standards.

Qualifications

• Holder of a valid electrical competency certification as required under Malaysian regulations.
• Strong field-based experience providing electrical safety oversight during construction and commissioning phases of large-scale projects.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and managing LOTO systems in live environments.
• In-depth understanding of electrical hazards and control strategies, especially around temporary power and energization.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Safety Oversight during commissioning focus: conduct daily inspections of electrical installations, testing and commissioning activities.
• Review and authorize electrical work permits (PTW) with risk assessments and controls.
• Verify field electrical practices against procedures and method statements.
