Job summary

IKEA Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Facilities Management Manager, Chargeman BO to ensure safe operation and maintenance of HV/LV electrical systems within the shopping centre. You will oversee compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and related regulations while leading a technical team.

The role covers energy optimisation, safety governance, and reliable infrastructure performance, aligning with Ikano Group guidelines and BOMBA requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold Valid Chargeman BO Certificate (33kV) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in high-voltage systems and building M&E operations.
• Registered as Competent Person with Energy Commission Online System.
• Proficient in electrical safety regulations and energy optimization.

Responsibilities

• Perform HV/LV switching operations, electrical isolation procedures, and emergency responses.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and system abnormalities; ensure timely rectification.
• Monitor and maintain electrical systems including main intake, generators, UPS, solar and related infrastructure.
• Lead technicians; ensure proper use of CMMS/BAS for reporting and documentation.
• Support safety governance and regulatory compliance across operations.
