Job summary

Hirehub Management Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Electrical QA/QC professional to review designs and supervise electrical installations on construction sites, including power distribution, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems.

You will conduct site inspections, prepare ITPs and quality reports, and coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance with project specs. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in electrical installation, QA/QC, or construction supervision.
• Familiar with ITP, NCR, CAPA processes.
• Able to read SLDs, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Proficient in English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, and documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor electrical installations: power distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS, cables, lighting, grounding.
• Conduct site inspections of cable termination, panel installation, equipment mounting, earthing.
• Prepare QA/QC documents: ITPs, checklists, quality reports.
• Monitor testing and commissioning: insulation resistance, functional tests, UPS tests.
• Identify NCRs and implement CAPA actions.
• Coordinate with project engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and teams.
• Review and maintain project docs: shop drawings, as-builts, tests.
• Participate in site inspections, audits, and meetings.
• Support handover and commissioning with final inspections and client acceptance.

• Review electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Monitor and inspect electrical installation works including power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, cable routing, cable trays, lighting systems, and grounding/earthing systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality including cable installation and termination, panel installation, equipment mounting, and earthing systems.
• Prepare and implement QA/QC documents such as Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), inspection checklists, and quality reports.
• Monitor electrical testing and commissioning activities including cable insulation resistance testing, functional testing of electrical equipment, power system verification, and UPS testing.
• Identify, report, and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and ensure corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) are implemented and closed.
• Coordinate with project engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and construction teams to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Review and maintain project documentation including shop drawings, as-built drawings, inspection records, material submissions, and testing reports.
• Participate in site inspections, quality audits, and project meetings to ensure electrical works meet project quality requirements.
• Support project handover and commissioning activities including final inspection, documentation submission, and client/consultant acceptance.

Job Requirements (JR)

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical installation, QA/QC, or construction supervision, preferably in data center, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, cable installation and termination, and earthing/grounding systems.
• Familiar with electrical testing and commissioning procedures and QA/QC processes such as ITP, inspection checklists, NCR management, and CAPA implementation.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, single line diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and clients.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written); Mandarin is an advantage for coordination with international teams.
• Willing to work at construction project sites and support project-based work environments.
