Job summary

Hartalega NGC Sdn Bhd is seeking a Technician for Facility Power to operate and monitor electrical distribution systems, perform routine maintenance, and ensure safe, compliant power supply in line with regulations.

You will read meters at multiple voltage levels, inspect critical switchgear, coordinate testing with contractors, and document all activities for traceability. Fresh graduates are welcome with relevant training; experience with HT/LV distribution is a plus.

Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
SKM Level 3 in electrical installation/maintenance preferred.
Fresh graduates or 1 year of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
HT/LV distribution experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Carry out daily operation and monitoring of electrical distribution to ensure safe, compliant power supply.
Perform meter readings at 33 kV, 11 kV, and LV points; monitor power factor and voltage stability.
Inspect transformers, HT/LV panels, and capacitor banks for abnormalities.
Support load management by monitoring intake supply and facility demand.
Execute preventive maintenance on transformers, switchgear, and breakers.
Carry out isolation, repair, and system restoration during electrical outages.
Coordinate with contractors for transformer oil sampling, Hi-Pot tests, and relay calibration.
Comply with regulations and HSE standards including PTW and LOTO.
Record readings and findings; report status to Senior Technician daily.
Participate in toolbox talks and safety drills; report unsafe acts.
