Job summary

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and standard drafting tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, designers and engineers to support projects.
• Develop detailed electrical building services drawings including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Create outdoor infrastructure drawings for street lights, traffic lights, CCTV, and VMS.
• Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings to ensure accurate documentation.
• Revise drawings to accommodate changes and ensure compliance with standards.
• Assist in site visits to gather data and reflect conditions in drawings.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to integrate specifications.
• Support tender documentation with accurate drawings and details.
• Participate in project meetings to communicate progress and design solutions.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices.

Collaborate with project managers, designers, and engineers to support projects effectively.

Develop detailed Electrical building services drawings including Single-line diagrams, lighting & small power layout, ELV, Lightning Protection, etc.

Create outdoor infrastructures services Street Light, Traffic Light, CCTV & VMS location drawings based on required specifications.

Create precise Mechanical building services drawings covering areas such as Air conditioning, fire protection, plumbing, etc., adhering to given specifications.

Prepare Shop Drawings and As-Built drawings to ensure accurate project documentation.

Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate changes and enhancements, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Assist in conducting site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for drawing development and to ensure accurate representation of existing conditions.

Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain technical specifications and integrate them into drawings effectively.

Support the preparation of tender documentation by providing accurate drawings and technical details as required.

Participate in project meetings to communicate progress, address any technical queries, and provide input on design solutions.

Stay updated on industry standards and best practices in Mechanical and Electrical building services design, and incorporate new knowledge into daily tasks.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the drafting team by suggesting process enhancements and implementing efficient workflows.

Assist in maintaining drawing archives and documentation for future reference, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for project teams.

Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is essential.

Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Basic knowledge or 1-2 years of experience in designing Mechanical and Electrical building services will be an added advantage.

Diligent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing individual tasks efficiently.

Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to Mechanical and Electrical systems, with a willingness to learn and stay updated on changes.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

Proficiency in other drafting software or related software tools (e.g., Revit, SolidWorks) would be advantageous.
