Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Drafter to translate electrical concepts into precise single-line and layout drawings. You will collaborate with engineers to ensure drawings meet project requirements and support from in-house training to sharpen drafting skills.

The role offers hands-on exposure to real project drawings, with priorities on accuracy, version control, and timely delivery. A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or 2 years of hands-on drafting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of electrical drafting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for electrical drafting.
• Self-starter and able to work independently; in-house drafting training provided.

Responsibilities

• Produce single-line diagrams, layout drawings, schematics, and control drawings based on project specifications.
• Convert written and verbal design instructions from the engineering team into precise technical drawings.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to keep design output aligned with project requirements.
• Draft enclosure specifications and compile material order lists.
• Review drawings for accuracy and completeness before sign-off.
• Generate material requisition orders and cross-check them against approved drawings.
• Track and maintain version control across all project drawing revisions.
• Meet drafting deadlines and support the wider engineering team as needed.
