RGE in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Operations Lead to plan, execute and maintain electrical projects across production lines. The role requires strategic thinking, hands-on leadership and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensure adherence to safety standards, drive continuous improvement within budgets, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.

Responsibilities:

Leads electrical engineering operations by planning, executing, and maintaining electrical projects and systems. Oversees team management, ensures compliance with safety standards, and drives continuous improvement to meet operational goals and budgets. In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:

• Achieves electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining administrative system improvements; implementing change.
• Develops strategic electrical plans by studying operational plans; studying existing conditions; determining needs to accomplish operational plans; mapping solutions; updating and modifying requirements and solutions; preparing cost estimates and budgets.
• Plans electrical projects by determining specifications; selecting contractors; establishing installation schedules; planning shut-downs and installations; integrating requirements with architectural and mechanical designs; verifying code requirements; updating cost estimates.
• Completes electrical projects by supervising installations; resolving design issues.
• Maintains electrical systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testing programs; scheduling repairs; coordinating shut-downs and installations.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with codes and legal regulations.
• Select, lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of professional electrical engineers and technical and administrative support staff to ensure that electrical engineering operations are completed on-time, within budget, and as per the set goals.
• Ensure implementation of projects for expanding and/or modifying the production lines.
• Study the characteristics of all possible equipment available and suggest acquiring the most appropriate equipment for carrying out the operations.

• A degree in the related job field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role.
• Willing to relocate to the job location.
